An Interpretation of Dostoevsky's Female Image from Foucault's Perspective
Dostoevsky's literary works are full of contradictory relationships between men and women. With astonishing creativity and advanced gender concepts,he has created a large number of humiliated female images, all of whom have made resistance to the"patriarchal society"in their own ways.In the social structure where men dominate,Foucault's discourse on power is an important theoretical basis for exploring women's issues.Through the application of Foucault's discourse theory, body theory, and gaze theory, this article concludes that women's liberation should focus on pursuing the spirit of female freedom and the return of individual consciousness, rather than just being limited to the material surface. This is precisely the call for Foucault to emphasize human self-awareness.
