Based on literature,physical objects and images,this paper used the triple evidence method to study the plastic art and changes of pockets in modern costume from three dimensions of category,shape and variation.The research shows that modern pockets can be divided into three types:patch pocket,digging pocket and vertical pocket.The plastic art features are mainly manifested in the unity of decoration and order between clothing and pockets.The change of its popula-rity reflects the characteristics of enhanced practicality and diversified aesthetic of modern costumes.
