Faced with the emerging concept of digital clothing history,this paper reviewed the development of digital art history in similar fields,and evaluated how to view digital fashion history scientifically and rationally.After analyzing the possibilities and particularities of digital clothing history,four methodologies were proposed:the construction of clothing database,the digital reconstruction of ancient costume,the analysis and application of ancient clothing based on big data calculation methods,and the research on clothing social history using digital calculation methods.It is considered that although the study of digital clothing history faces many challenges and limitations,it is still developing continuously,and the research is helpful to promote the protection and dissemination of traditional costume.
