Creative Characteristics and Cultural Connotation of Honghe Dai Costumes
The Honghe Dai is an ancient ethnic minority in Yunnan Province.Owing to the absence of written language,clothing has become one of the carriers of their historical culture.From the perspective of art anthropology,this study col-lected clothing samples of the Honghe Dai through field investigation,analyzed both the wearing function and creative char-acteristics of the costumes,and explored the cultural connotations behind them.Research has shown that the costumes of the Honghe Dai are practical and environmentally friendly.The rich decoration and bold color matching reflect the unique aesthetic of the Honghe Dai.The clothing has distinct ethnic characteristics and diverse wearing forms,which are symbols of their identity.Behind it lies the Honghe Dai people's reverence for nature,records of the historical evolution of the na-tion,and confidence in their national identity.
