Construction of an Influence Model of Robe Bestowal in the Ming Dynasty on Korean Peninsula Attire Based on Grounded Theory
The practice of bestowing robes in the Ming Dynasty was consistent with the strategy of administering state affairs well and ensuring national security,and had a profound impact on the clothing system of tributary states.However,previous academic research on the Ming-Joseon tributary relationship revealed a cognitive misunderstanding that China actively sought to establish a tributary relationship and imposed it on Korea.By employing grounded theory to encode and analyze texts related to the Ming Dynasty's bestowal of robes to Korea,this study explores the influence model of the Ming Dynasty's bestowal of robes on the Korean Peninsula attire and analyzes its operating mechanism.The study found that the impact of the Ming and other dynasties on the costumes of the Korean Peninsula showed a linkage relationship.In this process,objective and subjective factors played a catalytic and driving role,while the preconditions and practical paths played the roles of laying out and implementing respectively,and the final result reflected the comprehensive effect of this complex system.The ultimate outcome reflected the comprehensive effects of this complex system.The essence of the influ-ence of the Ming Dynasty bestowed clothing on the Korean Peninsula attire is the result of the two countries'recognition of the Confucian worldview and hierarchical relations,exchanges of interests and balance of national power.
