Study on individualized treatment of 75 children with pectus excavatum by 3D printing negative pressure suction cup
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of 3D printing negative pressure suction cup in individualized treatment of children with pectus excavatum,and to analyze the feasibility of 3D printing technology in the treatment of symmetrical and asymmet-rical pectus excavatum.Method The clinical data of 75 cases of children with pectus excavatum treated in our hospital from March 2020 to April 2022 were retrospectively analyzed,including age,gender,Haller index,and depth of pectus excavatum.,horizontal diam-eter,longitudinal diameter,and related adverse reactions during use,etc.,through 3D scanning to obtain various indicators of the infun-dibulum before and after use,and perform statistical analysis on the indicators before and after use to evaluate its clinical treatment effect.Results According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a total of 75 children were included in this study,including 52 males(69.33%)and 23 females(30.67%);the average age was(5.57±3.66)years.After treatment,the transverse diameter,longitudinal diameter,depth and Haller index of infundibulum depression in 75 patients were all lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Among them,44 patients had symmetrical pectus excavatum and 31 patients had asymmetric pectus excavatum.After treatment,the transverse diameter,longitudinal diameter,depth and Haller index of the symmetrical infundibu-lum depression in the children were also lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).In the evaluation of orthopedic effect,1 person was excellent,60 were good,and 14 were average,with an excellent and good rate of 81.33%.Most of the family members of the children were satisfied with the diagnosis and treatment results(89.33%).The related adverse reactions during the intervention process were relatively mild,and most of them did not require special intervention.Conclusion The individualization of 3D printing negative pressure suction cup has a good therapeutic effect in the treatment of children with sym-metrical and asymmetrical pectus excavatum,and has good feasibility.
