Intervention of bacterial lysate capsule on expressions of serum complements C3 and C4 and immunoglobu-lins IgA,IgG and IgM in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To study the intervention effects of bacterial lysate capsule on the expressions of serum complements C3 and C4 and immunoglobulins IgA,IgG and IgM in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Method 120 eld-erly patients with COPD treated in the hospital from July 2021 to September 2022 were selected, including 60 cases in stable stage and 60 cases in acute attack stage. The patients in each stage were randomly divided into conventional treatment group and combined bron-cho-vaxom treatment group, with 30 cases in each group.30 elderly patients without pulmonary diseases admitted for physical examina-tion during the same period were included in control group. After 12 weeks of treatment, the differences in serum complements C3 and C4,immunoglobulins IgA,IgG and IgM and the frequency of acute attacks in patients with stable COPD treated by different methods and levels of serum complements C3 and C4 and immunoglobulins IgA,IgG and IgM and duration of attack in elderly patients with a-cute attack of COPD treated by different methods were analyzed. The differences in serum complements C3 and C4 and immunoglobu-lins IgA,IgG and IgM levels in elderly patients with COPD in stable stage, acute stage and normal control group were analyzed before treatment. Results Before treatment, there were statistical differences in serum complements C3 and C4 and immunoglobulins IgA,IgG and IgM among acute attack stage group, stable stage group and control group(P<0.05).In addition, the levels of serum comple-ments C3 and C4 and immunoglobulins IgA,IgG and IgM in acute attack group and stable stage group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05),but the above levels were not significantly changed between acute attack htoup and stable stage group(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment, the level of serum complement C3 of patients in stable stage in combined broncho-vaxom treatment group was lower than that in conventional treatment group, while the levels of C4,IgA,IgG and IgM were higher than those in conventional treatment group(P<0.05).After treatment, the frequency of acute attacks in combined broncho-vaxom treatment group was lower than that in conventional treatment group(P<0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment, serum complement C3 of patients in acute attack was lower in combined broncho-vaxom treatment group than that in conventional treatment group while serum levels of C4,IgA,IgG and IgM were higher than those in conventional treatment group(P<0.05).The duration of acute attack in combined broncho-vaxom treat-ment group after treatment was significantly shorter than that in conventional treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion Bacterial lysate is effective in the treatment of elderly patients with stable and acute attack of COPD.It can improve the immune function, reduce the fre-quency of acute attacks and shorten the duration of acute attacks, and it is beneficial to the prognosis and rehabilitation.
