A community-based intervention study in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and mild cognitive impairment
Objective To study the effect of community intervention in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and mild cogni-tive dysfunction.Method 96 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and mild cognitive dysfunction admitted to our hospital from July 2022 to September 2022 were selected as research subjects, and they were divided into control group(48 cases)and study group(48 cases)randomly. The control group received routine community interventions. On this basis, the study group provided spe-cial community interventions.Blood glucose indexes, blood lipid indexes, and cognitive function before and after intervention were ob-served in the two groups. Results After the intervention, the levels of FBG,HbA1c,TC,LDL-C,and TG in both groups decreased(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the inter-vention,MoCA scores were elevated in both groups(P<0.05),and MoCA scores in the study group were higher than those in the con-trol group(P<0.05).Conclusion Special community intervention is applied to elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and mild cognitive dysfunction, which can control blood glucose level, correct blood lipid disorders, and improve cognitive function.
