Clinical study on the treatment of chronic pulpitis by ultrasonic irrigation combined with calcium hydroxide paste
Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect and influence of ultrasonic irrigation combined with calcium hydroxide paste in the treatment of chronic pulpitis.Method Ninety-eight patients with chronic pulpitis received in our hospital were randomly divided into injection group and ultrasound group by drawing lot,with 49 cases in each group.The injection group was treated with injection ir-rigation combined with calcium hydroxide paste,while the ultrasound group was treated with ultrasound irrigation combined with hy-droxide paste.The clinical therapeutic effect,pain degree,inflammatory factors and complications were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of ultrasound group was higher than that of injection group(P<0.05);After treatment,VAS score in the ultrasound group was lower than that in the injection group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.687,P=0.000).IL-6,IL-8 and CRP in ultrasound group after treatment were lower than those in injection group(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic pulpitis,ultrasonic irri-gation combined with calcium hydroxide paste can reduce the level of inflammatory factors,reduce the inflammatory response of the body,relieve the pain of patients,and have good safety.
