Survival follow-up survey and prognostic factors of esophageal cancer patients
Objective To analyze the postoperative survival of patients with esophageal cancer and explore the factors affecting the prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer.Method Retrospective analysis of clinical data from 244 cases of esophageal cancer,fol-lowed up with postoperative esophageal cancer patients, and analyzed the prognosis of esophageal cancer patients with mortality as the outcome,as well as the influencing factors. Results A total of 142 patients died of esophageal cancer during the study period. The me-dian survival time was 26 months, and the cumulative survival rates of 1,3 and 5 years were 69.6%,40.2%and 29.4%,respective-ly.Univariate analysis showed that tumor location, tumor invasion range, invasion depth(T),regional lymph node(N),distant me-tastasis(M),clinical stage and lymph node status were prognostic factors(P<0.05).Multivariate results showed that tumor invasion range(HR=3.068,95%CI=1.107~9.253)and lymph node status(HR=2.589,95%CI=1.060~6.322)were independent factors affecting the survival and prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer. Conclusion The prognosis of esophageal cancer patients is poor, and the extent of tumor invasion and lymph node status are independent factors affecting the survival prognosis of esophageal cancer patients.
