Application effect of clinical pharmacist intervention in parenteral nutrition management of premature in-fants
Objective To investigate the effect of clinical pharmacists intervention in parenteral nutrition management(PN)of pre-mature infants.Method 84 premature infants admitted to Xinyu Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as research objects, and grouped according to the time of admission.A total of 42 premature infants were selected as control group, without intervention by clinical pharmacists.A total of 42 premature infants admitted to our hospital were selected as the intervention group, and clinical phar-macists were given intervention.Clinical indicators, growth of premature infants, irrational drug use and energy ratio of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in ventilator support time and antibiotic use time between the two groups(P>0.05).The intervention group had shorter hospital stay, parenteral nutrition time and total feeding time after stopping parenteral nutrition than the control group(P<0.05).The weight, body length and head circumference of preterm infants in the intervention group increased faster than those in the control group(P<0.05).The irrational drug use rate in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of inappropriate carbohydrate-lipid ratio and heat-nitrogen ratio in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion PN management of premature infants given by clinical pharma-cists can improve clinical indexes, enhance growth indexes of premature infants, reduce irrational drug use,and reduce inappropriate energy ratio.
