Expression and clinical significance of IL4I1 and PD-L1 in lung adenocarcinoma
Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of Interleukin 4 Induced Protein(IL4I1)and Pro-grammed Death-Ligand 1(PD-L1)in lung adenocarcinoma.Method A retrospective analysis was performed on 180 patients with lung adenocarcinoma who underwent surgical treatment in the Affiliated People's Hospital of Fujian University of Chinese Medicine from 2021 to 2023.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of IL4I1 and PD-L1 in postoperative tumor tissues,and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression of IL4I1.The positive expression of IL4I1 and PD-L1 in patholog-ical factors of lung adenocarcinoma was compared.The relationship between PD-L1 expression and pathological factors of lung adeno-carcinoma;To compare the expression levels of IL4I1 in lung adenocarcinoma of different T stages and histological grades.Results The positive expression rates of IL4I1 and PD-L1 in lung adenocarcinoma were 85.56%(154/180)and 36.11%(65/180),respectively.In lung adenocarcinoma,the proportion of IL4I1 and PD-L1 positive patients over 60 years old,male,TNM stage Ⅱ,smoking and lymph node metastasis was higher than that of negative patients,with statistical significance(P<0.05),but no statistical significance in tissue type(P>0.05).Among the patients with PD-L1 positive lung adenocarcinoma,the proportion of smoking,lymph node me-tastasis and TNM stage Ⅱ in patients with high PD-L1 expression was higher than that in patients with low expression and no expres-sion,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in age and gender(P>0.05).In lung adenocarcinoma,the expression level of IL4I1 was related to TNM stage and histological grade.The expression level of IL4I1 in stage Ⅱ patients was higher than that in stage Ⅰ patients,and the expression level of IL4I1 in G1,G2,G3 and G4 patients was gradually increased(P<0.05).Conclusion In lung adenocarcinoma tissues,the expression level of PD-L1 was correlated with smoking,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage Ⅱ,and was higher in patients with smoking,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage Ⅱ,and the expression level of IL4I1 was higher in patients with TNM stage Ⅱ and G4 patients.
