THE MICRO-PERSPECTIVE OF ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY RESEARCH
The micro-perspective of Chinese economic geography involves the geography of rural households, firm geography and small scale research. The main contents of firm geography include the spatial trajectories of firm growth, the spatial structure of firm, and the relation between firm and environment; the geography of rural households includes the rural households' self-developing capability, the location and spatial structures of rural households' economic activities, the developing environment of rural household, and the relation between rural household and geographical environment. The main contents of small scale study include the study of human-land system from a land plot, the relation between specialized village and environment, and the construction of regional sustainable development model from a site-specified scale. The micro-perspective of economic geography contributes to understanding the basic unite and structure of economic geography, exploring the geographical process and revealing the forming mechanism of geographical phenomena. Based on the above three levels, the study of economic geography expects to develop the spatial theory of micro-economy in China.
