Evolution and Mechanism of Socio-ecological system Resilience in Energy-rich Areas:A Case Study of Yulin City
Based on the construction of a theoretical framework of the socio-ecological system resilience in energy-rich areas, this paper takes Yulin City,an energy-rich area in northern Shaanxi,as the research area, and uses the methods of the set pair analysis and the correlation analysis to measure the regional socio-ecological system resilience from two levels of vulnerability and response capacity and three subsystems of ecology, economy and society in 1998-2020,it reveals the evolution law and impact mechanism of regional socio-ecological system resilience. The results show that:1)From 1998 to 2020,the vulnerability index of the socio-ecological system in Yulin City fluctuated from 0.427 to 0.494,the response capacity index increased from 0.248 to 0.798,and the resilience index increased from 0.326 to 0.664.The regional socio-ecological system resilience is the result of the interaction between vulnerability and response capacity.2)The contribution of social life subsystem vulnerability to the overall system vulnerability is on the rise, and the contribution of each subsystem's response capacity to the overall system's response capacity is on the rise.Total response capacity plays a decisive role in socio-ecological system resilience, with the impact of economic production and social life subsystem's response capacity being prominent.3)There are significant differences in the nature, rate, and law of the impact of various impact factors on the evolution of the socio-ecological system resilience in Yulin City, presenting two types of impact:near linear and nonlinear, and six types of curve:near linear increasing or decreasing,U-shaped or inverted U-shaped increasing or decreasing.4)Under the coupling effect of multiple internal and external factors such as natural ecological constraints,socio-ecological transformation drive, and energy market reform,Yulin's socio-ecological system presents a transformation and development trend from agricultural and pastoral type to energy type, and then to green type.
