Industrial Upgrading Effect of Industry Integration Between Advanced Manufacturing Industry and Information Service Industry
Based on the panel data of 30 provincial-level regions in China from 2009 to 2021,this paper estimates the coupling development level between advanced manufacturing industry and information service industry and the upgrading level of advanced manufacturing industry using the coupling coordination degree model and the entropy weight method.Based on the models of fixed effects and random effects,it empirically analyzes the industrial upgrading effect of the coupling development level between advanced manufacturing industry and information service industry.The results show that:1)In general,the coordinated development of the two industries has a positive industrial upgrading effect on advanced manufacturing industry.At the regional level,it has the strongest upgrading effect in the northern coastal region,and has a significant upgrading effect in the other regions except the southern coastal region.2)The integration development of the two industries presents a dynamic evolution process,and the coupling coordination degree has been improved,the coupling coordination development level in coastal region is generally better than that in inland region.3)The upgrading level of China's advanced manufacturing industry has shown an obvious upward trend since 2016,which has increased from 0.249 in 2009 to 0.503 in 2021.In order to further promote the upgrading,the government should encourage the in-depth interaction and integration of the two industries,establish a new system of integrated industries,improve the mechanism of integrated personnel training,strengthen the research on key technologies of the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry,and enhance the new driving force for the development of industrial integration technologies.
