Taking 17 counties of Dongting Lake region as the research area,this paper constructs the indicator system of tourism eco-efficiency,reveals its temporal and spatial characteristics from 2011 to 2020,explores the main factors influencing tourism eco-efficiency using the Tobit model,and explores influencing paths for tourism eco-efficiency using the dynamic QCA model.The results show that:1)The tourism eco-efficiency in Dongting Lake region is above the average level,and shows a fluctuating upward trend,the relative difference between counties is increasing,and the polarization phenomenon is prominent.2)The tourism eco-efficiency is weakening from the southwest of Dongting Lake region to the northeast of Dongting Lake region at the county level.The high-efficiency areas of tourism eco-efficiency have the widest distribution range,mainly in the west and south of Dongting Lake region.3)Among the influencing factors of tourism eco-efficiency in Dongting Lake region,tourism economic scale,technological innovation investment,industrial structure,urbanization level,environmental regulation intensity,highway network density,and tourism resource endowment have significant positive impacts.4)There are five development paths to improve the tourism eco-efficiency in Dongting Lake region,and environmental regulation intensity has gradually become the key to improving the tourism eco-efficiency in Dongting Lake region.
