Effect of Dietary Arginine Levels on Growth and Antioxidant of Cherax quadricarinatus
This study was aimed to explore the effect of arginine on the growth performance and antioxidant capacity of Cherax quadricarinatus.300 Cherax quadricarinatus with an initial body weight of(22.36±1.04)g were selected in the experiment and randomly divided into 5 groups, with 3 repetitions in each group.Five isonitrogenous and isoenergetic feeds with arginine levels of 0(control group),0.8%,1.6%,2.4%and 3.2%were fed respectively. After the breeding, samples were taken separately to analyze their growth-related indicators and antioxidant-related indicators. The results showed that compared with the control group, the growth indicators of male Cherax quadricarinatus in each group were improved.Among them, the final body weight, specific growth rate and weight gain rate were significantly increased with 1.6%and 2.4%arginine supplementation(P<0.05).When the added amount of arginine was 2.4%,the mRNA expression levels of CAT,T-SOD and CuZn-SOD mRNA in the intestines of male shrimps were significantly increased(P<0.05).arginine addition;malondialdehyde(MDA)content in the hepatopancreas and intestines of male shrimp was the lowest at 1.6%arginine addition, and the serum nitric oxide(NO)content was the highest.Compared with the control group, the growth indexes of female red crayfish in all groups were improved;the final body weight, body length, meat yield, specific growth rate and weight gain rate of female shrimp were significantly increased at 2.4%of arginine(P<0.05);the CAT activity in the intestinal tract and serum of female shrimp reached the maximum at 1.6%and 0.8%of arginine;the serum of female shrimp reached the maximum at 0.8%and 2.4%of arginine;the serum of female shrimp reached the maximum at 1.6%and 2.4%of arginine;the serum of female shrimp reached the minimum at 1.6%and 2.4%of arginine;the serum of female shrimp showed the minimum at 1.6%and 2.4%of arginine.T-SOD activity in serum and intestine of female shrimp was significantly increased(P<0.05);GSH-Px activity in serum and intestine of female shrimp reached the maximum at 0.8%and 3.2%of arginine addition;nitric oxide(NO)content in serum of female shrimp was the highest at 2.4%of arginine addition;and MDA content in hepatopancreas and intestine of female shrimp was significantly increased(P<0.05)at 3.2%of arginine addition.were significantly increased(P<0.05).Addition of arginine to feed can effectively promote the growth and antioxidant function of Cherax quadricarinatus, the optimal feed arginine content of female red crayfish was 0.8%-1.6%,and the optimal feed arginine content of Cherax quadricarinatus was 2.4%-3.2%.
