Research on the Impact of Digital Trade Barriers on Digital Service Trade from the Perspective of DSTRI
Service trade based on data as a factor of production is booming globally. In order to protect the de-velopment of digital service trade, countries have taken restrictive measures to highly build digital service trade bar-riers,which have had a certain impact on the development of digital service trade.Based on the"Diamond Mod-el",this paper selects relevant data on digital service trade from 39 countries from 2014 to 2021 to empirically study the impact of digital service trade barriers on the development of digital service trade.Research has found that:(1)Digital service trade barriers have a inhibitory effect on the development of digital service trade in both over-all and segmented fields, and the segmented fields of digital service trade barriers have heterogeneous impacts on the development of digital service trade in different economies;(2)the overall size of the market and cross-border capital flows help to weaken the inhibitory effect of overall barriers to digital service trade in developed countries on digital service trade.Among them,cross-border capital flows have enhanced the positive impact of electronic trans-action restrictions on digital service trade in developed countries, and weakened the negative impact of payment sys-tem restrictions on digital service trade in developing countries. This study enriches the theoretical foundation of dig-ital service trade barriers to some extent and extends the research boundaries of digital service trade barriers.
