Research on Pollution Reduction Effect of Enterprise Input Digitalization——From the Perspective of ICT Product Import
The import of ICT products,as an important form of enterprise input digitalization,can provide im-portant support for enterprise pollution reduction.Based on the combined data of China Customs Trade Database,China Industrial Enterprise Pollution Database and China Industrial Enterprise Database from 2002 to 2012,this pa-per uses the DID to identify the impact of ICT product import on enterprise pollution reduction.The results show that the import of ICT products can significantly reduce the intensity of pollution emissions of enterprises,and the conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness tests.The mechanism test shows that:On the one hand,the im-port of ICT products can promote the growth of enterprises'output scale and reduce the intensity of enterprises'pollutant emissions by improving total factor productivity;on the other hand,the import of ICT products can reduce the scale of enterprise pollutant emissions by optimizing the energy structure and improving energy efficiency,thus leading to a decline in the intensity of enterprise pollutant emissions.In addition,the import of ICT products has more obvious pollution reduction effect on large-scale enterprises,technology-intensive industry enterprises and en-terprises in regions with higher development level of digital economy.Based on the research conclusion,the collab-orative development of enterprise digital transformation and pollution reduction can be realized by encouraging and expanding the import of ICT products,advancing R&D innovation of core technologies of ICT products,extending application scenarios of ICT products,etc.in the future.
