China's OFDI stock data to 14 RCEP countries in 2003-2021 are selected to analyse the impact of the quality of the host country's political system on China's OFDI by using the gravity model and two-way fixed effects estimation method.The results of the study show that:The quality of the host country's political system is positively related to China's OFDI,in which political stability and legal rules significantly promote China's OFDI;the quality of the political system in high-income countries does not have a significant effect on China's OF-DI,while the quality of the political system in middle-income countries significantly promotes China's OFDI,i.e.the quality of the political system promoting China's OFDI is heterogeneous according to the degree of develop-ment of the host country.China's OFDI in RCEP countries should pay attention to changes in the quality of the po-litical system,strengthen bilateral relations,establish an investment risk assessment and early warning mechanism,and improve the enterprise's investment risk control capacity,so as to enhance the competitiveness and security of China's OFDI.
