Research on the Value of Digital Governance to Enterprise Green Technology Innovation under the Background of"Dual Carbon"——Research Methods Based on the Regulatory Effects of Environmental Initiative and Machine Learning
In the digital age,information technology has accelerated the pace of enterprise green technology in-novation in a more environmentally friendly and intelligent way.Specifically,digital transformation drives continu-ous changes in production modes and governance modes,making digital governance an accelerator to promote high-quality development of enterprises.Then,can this governance strategy effectively promote enterprise green technolo-gy innovation?And through what mechanism of action?Based on the theory of digital governance and the unbal-anced panel data of listed companies from 2013 to 2021,this paper uses python software to extract the keyword"digital governance"from the corporate annual report,and constructs enterprise-level digital governance indica-tors from multi-dimensional perspectives based on TOE research framework,and empirically analyzes the impact of digital governance on enterprise green technology innovation.The research shows that digital governance has signifi-cantly improved enterprise green technology innovation,with more obvious improvement of substantial green tech-nology innovation,and after a series of stability test,the conclusion stays established.A mechanism analysis shows that enterprises with environmental proactive behaviors have higher green technology innovation because it positive-ly regulates the relation between digital governance and enterprise green technology innovation.Heterogeneity analy-sis shows that digital governance has more significant effects of improving the overall level of enterprise green tech-nology innovation in new and high-tech industries,non heavily polluting industries,and non highly market-oriented regions,while digital governance has more significant effects of improving heavily polluting enterprises and enter-prises in highly market-oriented regions in substantial green technology innovation.Under the goal of"double car-bon",the research conclusions have certain implications for deepening enterprise digital governance and improv-ing enterprise green technology innovation.
