How can Government Procurement Motivate Innovation Behavior of Enterprises?——Based on the Data of China's A-share Listed Companies
Using China's A-share listed companies between 2015 and 2022 as a sample,this paper studies the impact and acting mechanism of government procurement on enterprises'green innovation.The results indi-cates that:Obtaining government procurement orders significantly improves the level of green innovation of listed en-terprises;the results of endogeneity and robustness tests shows that the conclusion of this paper are still valid;the re-sults of heterogeneity test shows that government procurement has a more significant impact on the green innovation of state-owned enterprises,mainboard enterprises,labor-intensive enterprises,and non-heavily-polluting enter-prises;the mechanism test finds that government procurement can improve enterprises'emphasis on innovation and therefore promote green innovation;further analysis shows that government procurement behavior can promote the improvement of the overall and average quality of enterprises'green innovation.
