Stem segment in vitro culture in Melastoma sanguineum Sims
In order to accelerate asexual propagation of superior mother plant, using tender stem segments as materials, rapid propagation in Melastoma sanguineum Sims was studied. The results showed that cluster buds could form after axillary buds in stem segments germinating, and multiplication coefficient reached 3.6-6.5 times when 0.3-2.0 mg/L 6-BA was added into MS medium. The rooting rate of test-tube plantlets reached 100% in the 1/2 MS added with 0.1-0.5 mg/L NAA.The survival rate of transplanted test-tube plantlets was over 95.0% through normal management in the greenhouse with water curtain.Adding activated carbon 300 mg/L into the media would reduce the rates of bud multiplication and root inducing in M.sanguineum Sims.
