Analysis of dominant factors influencing Xanthoceras sorbifolia seedling nursery in arid and semi-arid regions
In order to explore dominant factors influencing Xanthoceras sorbifolia seedling nursery in arid and semi-arid regions,experiments of field seedling nursery and container nursery based on an orthogonal test design were conducted,effects of some factors on X.sorbifolia seedling nursery were researched,such as sowing time,seed grade,covering soil thickness,substrate type and nutrition container specification,and so on,and dominant factors influencing X.sorbifolia seedling nursery and their treatment levels were selected through index determination and statistical analysis.The results showed that the dominant factors were respectively sowing time,seed grade,covering soil thickness,substrate type and nutrition container specification.The seedlings of Ⅰ grade seeds sown in mid-May and covered 5 cm soil had better growth vigor in bigger nutrition containers with the substrate of cattle and sheep muck + local soil.Physical and chemical properties of soil also had some effects on seedling nursery in X..sorbifolia.Soil thickness had a positive correlation with seedling height and ground diameter,and their correlation coefficients were both above 0.95,soil nutrient was an important nutrition source for seedling growth,and pH value suitable for seedling growth ranged from 6.5 to 8.0.
