Study on the dynamic characteristics of BVOCs released from hawthorn and jujube during the growing season
[Objective]In order to explore the change rule of biogenic volatile organic compounds(BVOCs)and the characteristics of beneficial BVOCs released from hawthorn and jujube in different periods in Beijing.[Method]The released BVOCs were collected by dynamic headspace collection method, and analyzed by automatic thermal desorption-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.[Result]328 kinds of BVOCs in 12 categories were detected in hawthorn leaves during the whole growing season. The release category of jujube leaves was the same as that of hawthorn leaves, and the release category was less than that of hawthorn leaves(301).Both species released the most types in September;Hawthorn leaves and jujube leaves mainly released alkanes, alkenes and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and alcohols BVOCs;The jujube leaves mainly released alkanes, alkenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, aldehydes and alcohols BVOCs,of which the natural nonanal hawthorn leaves and jujube leaves released BVOCs every month, but the jujube leaves released more abundant BVOCs every month;Hawthorn was a high release of alkenes in summer, and jujube was a high release of aromatic hydrocarbons in spring;A total of 43 kinds of beneficial components including alkenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, aldehydes, organic acids, ketones, alcohols and amides were detected in hawthorn leaves, while jujube leaves did not release ketones, and the total number of released species was more than hawthorn leaves(47);[Conclusion]Two species released alkene beneficial BVOCs,which accounted for the largest proportion of the total beneficial BVOCs,with the release of menthol-1(7),3-diene α-Pinene,kaempferone,3-carene and dextran diene were the main ingredients.Summer was the main season for the release of beneficial BVOCs from hawthorn and jujube leaves, and both of them reached the maximum in July.In short, the BVOCs released by tree species showed obvious seasonal changes, especially the maximum value of total beneficial BVOCs released by hawthorn leaves exceeded 60%.
