Adaptability of seven pear varieties in Linzhi area
[Objective]To screen out high-quality pear varieties that are more suitable for cultivation in Linzhi,Xizang.[Method]Seven pear varieties,including'Huangjin''Zhongli No.1'and'Wonhwang'were introduced in 2017 and tested for introduction in linzhi.In the experiment,the botanical characteristics,fruit quality,growth habit and phenological period of each pear variety were determined,and the fruit quality and growth habit of the seven varieties were comprehensively evaluated by the principal component membership function method.[Result]The seven pear varieties were similar in botanical characteristics,but there were differences in fruit ripening and quality.'Cuiguan'and'Chuxialv'were early-maturing varieties that ripen in mid-August,'Wonhwang''Zhongli No.1''Hongtaiyang'and'Huangjin'ripen from late August to late September,respectively,and'Whasan'were late-maturing varieties that ripen in early October.The comprehensive evaluation results showed that'Zhongli No.1''Huangjin'and'Wonhwang'performed better,followed by'Whasan''Chuxialv''Cuiguan'and'Hongtaiyang'.In addition,the'Huangjin'variety had large fruit,small core,and fewer stone cells,with a sweet and sour taste,but high titratable acid content and poor rust resistance.Although'Cuiguan'had low soluble solids content and not high yield,it was early-ripening and had high vitamin C content,which was suitable for cultivation under proper management.The four varieties of'Zhongli No.1''Wonhwang''Whasan'and'Chuxialv'performed well in terms of yield,fruit shape,vitamin C content.'Hongtaiyang'had bright skin,high hardness and strong resistance to stress,but the quality of the single fruit was average,the content of stone cells was moderate,the taste was sandy,and the yield was low.[Conclusion]'Huangjin'and'Cuiguan'perform well and can be promoted as excellent varieties for cultivation in the Linzhi area through in-depth research.'Zhongli No.1''Wonhwang''Whasan'and'Chuxialv'performed well in terms of yield,fruit shape,vitamin C content and taste,and were suitable for planting in Linzhi and other similar ecological regions.
