High-tech Product Export,Digital Trade Barriers and the Division of Labor Status in the"Double Circulation"Value Chain
With the full effect of RCEP,China will be involved in both the large circulation of the global value chain and the small circulation of the RCEP value chain. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper adopts the method of combining social network analysis and transnational panel data model, and calculates the structural indi-cators of the global high-tech products trade network and the RCEP high-tech products trade network based on the export data of 52 major countries in the world from 2007 to 2023.The influence and mechanism of the division of labor status in the"double circulation"value chain are also investigated. The results show that:(1)In the high-tech product trade network,China has become a hub country linking the global large circulation and the RCEP small circulation status.(2)Compared with the global large circulation, the high-tech product trade network with the small RCEP circulation is more conducive to China's escape from"trapped"development and the leap in the international division of labor.(3)The breadth and depth of a country's high-tech product trade network signifi-cantly promote its position in the global large circulation and RCEP small circulation value chains.(4)Compared with the global large circulation, the promotion effect of the RCEP small circulation high-tech product trade net-work on the division status of labor in the value chain is more significantly affected by the negative impact of digi-tal trade barriers.Based on the above conclusions, the paper gives policy suggestions on how China can make full use of the opportunities and challenges brought by the full entry into force of RCEP and the new"dual circulation"to promote the development of high-tech industries and enhance the status of division of labor in the value chain.
