Development Level,Regional Disparities, and Spatiotemporal Evolution Characteristics of New Quality Productivity in the Yangtze River Delta Region
Developing new quality productivity is an inevitable requirement for comprehensively deepening reforms and promoting Chinese-style modernization. This paper focuses on the Yangtze River Delta region, and conducts measurements and analyses of the development levels, changing trends, and regional differences of new quality productivity based on panel data from 2010 to 2023.The research findings indicate the following:Firstly, the development level of new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Delta region shows an overall upward trend;however, there are significant regional differences, and the phenomenon of imbalanced development among regions is evident.Secondly, the contribution of the new quality labor materials to the new quality productivity of the Yang-tze River Delta is the most prominent, followed by the new quality workers and new quality labor objects;Further-more,Shanghai has the highest contribution from new quality labor objects,Jiangsu Province has a substantial con-tribution from new quality workers, and the contribution of new quality labor materials in Zhejiang province is more prominent, while Anhui province has no outstanding advantage, but its new quality productivity growth rate is the highest.Thirdly, the development level of new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Delta region exhibits a polarization phenomenon, with cities that have higher levels of new quality productivity existing within Jiangsu,Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces, indicating uneven development within the provinces.Additionally, from the per-spective of spatiotemporal dynamic evolution characteristics, there is no"leap-forward"development of new quali-ty productivity in the Yangtze River Delta region, but a"club convergence"phenomenon does exist. This study pro-vides practical evidence and experiential references for achieving coordinated development in the Yangtze River Delta region, particularly for nurturing and realizing new quality productivity and high-quality economic develop-ment in Anhui Province.
