Research on the Impact of Digital Economy Innovation on Common Prosperity
As a product of the accelerated development of the new round of technological and industri-al revolutions,digital economic innovation play a key role in solidifying the solid foundation for common prosperity through the wealth accumulation effect,synergistic development effect,and inclusive redistribu-tive effect.Based on panel data from 281 prefecture-level and above cities from 2013 to 2022,this paper constructs a serial multiple mediator model with factor marketization and low-carbon technological progress as mediators,to explore the intrinsic mechanism by which digital economic innovation supports common prosperity.The research results show that,at the national level,digital economic innovation can exert its effects on common prosperity through three pathways:factor marketization,low-carbon technological pro-gress,and the synergistic effect of factor marketization and low-carbon technological progress.At different city levels,the pathways by which digital economic innovation drives common prosperity exhibit significant heterogeneity in terms of city size.Among them,the three mediator pathways in megacities are not signifi-cant,while all three mediator pathways in large cities are significant.In contrast,only the mediator path-way of low-carbon technological progress in medium and small cities is significant,while the other two pathways are not significant.Based on these,the study suggests releasing the redistributive benefits of dig-ital economic innovation,expanding supply channels of production factors,enhancing the level of low-carbon technological progress,and formulating differentiated support policies to better leverage the empow-ering effect of digital economic innovation on common prosperity.
