Measurement and Spatial-temporal Evolution of China's High-quality Manufacturing Industry Development:Based on the Perspectives of Premiumization,Intellectualization and Greenization
The high-quality development of manufacturing industry has played a vital role in China's high-quality economic development.This paper establishes an index system for the high-quality manufac-turing industry development from the perspectives of premiumization,intellectualization,and greenization.Using entropy weight and CRITIC methods,obstacle diagnosis model,Dagum's Gini coefficient,and ker-nel density estimation,this paper has analyzed the spatio-temporal evolution of manufacturing high-quality development and restrictive factors of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government)in China from 2011-2019.The results show that:(1)The overall level of Chi-na's high-quality manufacturing industry has increased with inconsistent growth trends across all dimen-sions.(2)The development of China's manufacturing industry is not balanced,which has the character-istics of a ladder distribution of"East-Central-West",while the greenization is outstanding.The region-al differences in the development of China's high-quality manufacturing industry are gradually expanding,which is mainly attributed to the differences between regions.(3)The absolute differences between China's high-quality manufacturing industry development nationwide and the three main regions are increasing.The primary obstacle factor for the high-quality manufacturing industry development in each province is the technological complexity of the export of high-tech products.This paper provides useful insights into un-derstanding the situation of China's manufacturing industry development and formulating targeted policies and measures for promoting the development of the manufacturing industry.
