Research on the Impact of Green Technology Innovation on Urban Carbon Emission Reduction——Empirical Analysis Based on Spatial Econometric Model
As an important support for China's high-quality development,it is of great significance to study the carbon emission reduction effect and mechanism of green technology innovation to achieve the"dual carbon"target.Based on the panel data of 282 cities in China from 2006 to 2020,this paper uses the spatial Durbin model to investigate the impact of green technology innovation on urban carbon emis-sions.The results show that:(1)Green technology innovation has a significant urban carbon emission re-duction effect, and there is a significant spatial spillover effect.(2)Environmental regulation and indus-trial structure upgrading have enhanced the urban carbon emission reduction effect of green technology in-novation.(3)There are regional and temporal differences in the carbon emission reduction effect of green technology innovation, and the effect of green technology innovation on urban carbon emission reduction is more obvious in the eastern region and after the innovation-driven strategy is proposed. Therefore,it is necessary to further improve the system and mechanism of green technology innovation, build a collabora-tive linkage mechanism between cities for green technology innovation and energy conservation and emission reduction, formulate incentive policies for green technology innovation according to local conditions, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of cities and the realization of the"dual carbon"target.
