The Impact of the Global Green Trade Development and Carbon Neutral Process on China and Response Strategies
The intensification of the global climate crisis and the realization of the 1.5℃goal of the Paris Agreement require countries to increase their efforts to reduce emissions and accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of trade. The global carbon neutral process will accelerate the"decarbonization"of international trade and the reconstruction of international trade rules, and different green trade standards among countries will aggravate green trade barriers. In recent years,China's green trade has developed rapidly, but due to factors such as large trade scale, difficulty in structural transformation, and being at the bottom of the global value chain, coupled with the spillover effects of international green trade, the pressure for China's green and low-carbon transformation in trade has increased. To this end,it is necessary to accelerate the construction of a green trade system, improve green trade support policies,ac-celerate green and low-carbon technological innovation, accelerate green and low-carbon product labeling and certification, create a green and low-carbon supply chain industry chain, and realize the transformation from a large trading country to a strong trading coun-try.It should strengthen green trade risk research, monitoring, and early warning and carbon barrier response in key industries and fields, actively participate in international green trade rule-making and policy coordination, and promote the realization of global jus-tice transition.
