The Construction of a Unified National Market and SMEs'Specialized and Innovative Development
Taking the small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2021 as research sam-ples,the principal component analysis method is used to construct indicators for the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises.The bidirectional fixed effect model,two-stage least squares method,and mediation effect model are used to examine the impact and path mechanism of the construction of a unified national market on the specialized and innovative devel-opment of small and medium-sized enterprises.Research has found that the construction of a unified national market can significantly promote the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises.The above conclusion is still valid after en-dogeneity identification and robustness testing.In areas with a high concentration of dual certification enterprises,high-tech indus-tries,and higher education institutions,the construction of a unified national market has a greater promoting effect on the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises.Mechanism testing shows that the construction of a unified national market can promote the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises through three paths:expanding market demand,reducing transaction costs for enterprises,and increasing supplier channels.
