Regional Differences and Dynamic Evolution of Integration Efficiency between Advanced Manufacturing and Producer Services
As the global manufacturing industry is evolving from the single production pattern to the"pro-duction+service"pattern,promoting the integration and coordinated development of advanced manufacturing and producer services has become an inevitable choice for the high-quality development of manufacturing.With the provincial panel data from 2012 to 2021,this study calculated the integration efficiency between ad-vanced manufacturing and producer services in 30 provinces of China and explored the regional differences and dynamic evolution characteristics of the integration efficiency.The results showed that the overall integra-tion efficiency between advanced manufacturing and producer services in China was rising,presenting a spa-tial distribution pattern of high in the east,moderate in the center,and low in the west.The integration effi-ciency showcased uneven distribution,with significant differences in the dynamic evolution characteristics be-tween regions.The integration efficiency between advanced manufacturing and producer services presented a trend of club convergence and spatial dependence.High-level neighborhoods promoted the improvement of lo-cal integration efficiency,while it was difficult to achieve leapfrog improvement.The adaptability between ad-vanced manufacturing and producer services should be improved to facilitate the integration between the two.Policies should be formulated tailoring to local conditions,and regional barriers should be broken to strengthen the coordinated development between regions.In addition,digital platforms should be established to promote the flow and sharing of factors of production.
