Empirical Study on the Characteristics of Trial Lecture of Master's Students majoring in International Chinese Education—Exploratory attempt based on grounded theory
Trial lecture,a method to quickly test a teacher's teaching ability and identify his strengths and weak-nesses,is frequently used in the pre-service training.This study is based on the grounded theory research method and conducted classroom observations and semi-structured interviews with 24 master's students majoring in international Chinese education.By encoding observation and interview data into three levels,a theoretical model of the influencing factors of lectures is constructed,which consists of initial factors,emotional factors,media factors,and situational fac-tors.In response to an initial factor of the insufficient understanding of professional knowledge,an emotional factor of emotional tension,a media factor of insufficient use of teaching aids and multimedia devices,and a situational factor of weak improvement effect on trial lecture,the teaching ability of trial speakers should be improved from the aspects of consolidating professional knowledge,enriching classroom teaching practice,improving multimedia application ability,and strengthening teachers'psychological quality.
