Study on the Current Status of Mental Health Literacy and Its Influencing Factors Among Residents in Tianhe District of Guangzhou
Objective To understand the mental health literacy level in Tianhe District of Guangzhou City,and explore the influencing factors of mental health literacy level.Methods A total of 2 000 permanent residents aged 18 or above were selected from 28 communities in Tianhe District as research subjects for a questionnaire survey.Results The mental health literacy level of residents in Tianhe District was 20.1%.The results of multivariate analysis show that the influencing factors of residents'mental health literacy level included gender,personal monthly income,health status,age,occupation,total monthly family income,and smoking status.Conclusion The level of mental health literacy of residents in Tianhe District is still not high,and there are many influencing factors.Measures can be taken to improve mental health literacy for men,low-income groups and smokers.
