A Study on Health Risk Behaviors Status and Influencing Factors Among Middle School Students in Fujian Province
Objective To analyze the status and influencing factors of health risk behaviors of middle school students in Fujian Province,and to provide a scientific basis for improving the status of healthy lifestyles of middle school students.Methods A web-based questionnaire was administered to 419 middle school students in Fujian Province from January to February 2023.Results The middle school students were categorized into low-risk group(77.3%),medium-risk group(12.2%),and high-risk group(10.5%)groups based on latent class results of health risk behaviors.The middle school students who were male,lived in rural areas,had an overweight BMI,stayed behind,attended eighth and ninth grade,lived in the school,and had poor grades were more likely to had a high number of health risk behaviors.Using the low-risk group as a reference,the middle school students who stayed behind and attended eighth grade were more likely to be in the medium-risk group,and the middle school students who attended eighth and ninth grade were more likely to be in the high-risk group were more likely to be in the medium-risk group;those attending eighth and ninth grade were more likely to be in the high-risk group.Conclusion The overall health risk behavior status of middle school students in Fujian Province is well,and the degree of aggregation is light,but the problems of Internet addiction and lack of exercise are more prominent,and it is recommended that targeted health education be provided to secondary school students.
