A Survey on Occupational Burnout Among Grassroots Medical Staff in Xuhui District,Shanghai
Objective To understand the occupational burnout situation of grassroots medical staff in Shanghai and explore its influencing factors.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on medical staff randomly selected from five community health care centers and one secondary hospital in Xuhui District.Results The proportion of grassroots medical staff in Xuhui District who had mild to moderate occupational burnout was 54.63%,and 8.78%of medical staff had severe occupational burnout.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that men,doctors,those with long working hours per week,low monthly income,and severe insomnia had a higher degree of emotional exhaustion;men,doctors,those with lower job titles,longer working hours per week,and severe insomnia had a higher degree of depersonalization;women,nurses,and those with severe insomnia had lower personal sense of achievement.Conclusion There was a serious occupational burnout among grassroots medical staff in grassroots Xuhui District,which should be highly valued and timely intervention should be taken.
