Objective To understand the health status of carotid artery and its related influencing factors in high-risk population of cardiovascular disease in Baoshan District, and to provide scientific basis for strengthening the prevention and intervention of cardiovascular disease among residents in Baoshan District. Methods From July 2018 to March 2019,stratified sampling was used to conduct questionnaire survey, physical examination and rapid blood glucose and lipid detection among the permanent residents in Baoshan District, and a total of 1 738 high-risk people were selected. The influencing factors of carotid intima-media thickness(CCA-IMT)and carotid plaque(CP)were statistically analyzed. Results There were 570(32.8%)males and 1 168(67.2%)females in the high-risk group. The average age of people with normal carotid arteries is(60.15±8.12)years.The CCA-IMT thickening of carotid artery and the incidence of plaque are higher in the age group of 71-75 years. The influencing factors of CCA-IMT thickening are age, sex, household registration, smoking or not, hypertension, obvious weight change, fasting blood glucose and LDL-C/HDL-C.The influencing factors of carotid plaque include age, gender, household registration, smoking, diabetes, hypertension, elderly relatives and weight changes. Conclusion Carotid artery abnormalities exist in the high-risk population of cardiovascular disease in Baoshan District of Shanghai. On the basis of controlling the traditional risk factors such as hypertension and diabetes,it is necessary to strengthen the hierarchical management of patients with chronic diseases and adopt different targeted prevention measures for residents with different characteristics.
