The Effect of Health Education Interventions on Public Health Events in Medical Colleges through Peer Education
Objective To analyze the effect of peer education in health education intervention of public health events in medical colleges and universities.Methods Two classes were selected from a medical college and divided into a control group and an observation group according to the class.The control group received routine public health event health education,while the observation group received peer education,and the health education effects of the two groups of students were evaluated.Results Before intervention,there was no statistically significant difference in the knowledge level of public health events and health behavior scores between the two groups of medical students.After intervention,both groups of students showed significant improvement in their knowledge of public health events and health behavior scores,with the observation group showing a more significant improvement.Conclusion The application of peer education in health education interventions for public health events in medical colleges can strengthen the health awareness of medical students,encourage them to choose healthy behaviors that are more beneficial to themselves and response to public health events,improve their comprehensive self-management ability,promote positive development in various aspects such as diet,lifestyle habits,and so on,and also improve their health literacy,achieving good self-safety management on campus.
