Objective To understand the current situation of tobacco control environment in various public places in Huangpu District and residents'knowledge and attitude towards tobacco control,so as to provide the theoretical basis for the development of tobacco control and the formulation of relevant policies in the future.Methods A survey was conducted in 12 kinds of public places in Huangpu District of Shanghai,including minors'activity places,health and family planning institutions,restaurants and entertainment places,and the implementation of various tobacco control measures and smoking situation were observed and recorded.Results In 2021,the posting rates of tobacco control publicity materials,warning pictures,tobacco control telephone numbers and no-smoking signs in public places in Huangpu District were 86.8%,93.4%,98.1%and 100%respectively.Smoking was found in 2 places(1.9%)and discouraged;the smoking rate of works in the workplace was 17.9%,including 31.1%for men and 4.7%for women.A total of 93.1%of the respondents believed that everyone has the right to enjoy a smoke-free environment;95.2%of the respondents knew the Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Controlling Smoking in Public Places,and 93.3%of the respondents support a total indoor smoking ban;9.9%of the staff were injured by passive smoking.Conclusion The monitoring respondents of Huangpu District have a high awareness rate and support for the Regulations on Controlling Smoking in Public Places in Shanghai,but it is necessary to further strengthen publicity and management for some people and places.
