Objective To understand the situation of hearing loss and the psychological and cognitive effects of hearing loss on the community elderly,so as to provide the evidence for targeted health promotion.Methods Using pure tone audiometry to screen the hearing loss of the elderly in the community,at the same time,the Generalized Anxiety Disorde-7(GAD-7),the Geriatric Depression Scale-15(GDS-15)and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)were used to measure and analyze the negative psychological and cognitive status of the elderly with hearing loss and the elderly with normal hearing.Results The positive rate of hearing loss screening among the elderly in the community was 29.49%;the positive rate of male screening was higher than that of female;the positive rate of hearing loss screening increased with age.The positive rates of anxiety and depression screening in people with hearing loss were higher than those in people with normal hearing.The total cognitive score of MoCA in male hearing loss was 25.0±0.7,which was lower than that of 28.4±0.6 in normal hearing;the total MoCA screening score of women with hearing loss was 25.2±0.7,which was lower than that of 28.9±0.8 in normal hearing patients.Conclusion The positive rate of hearing loss screening among the elderly in the community is high,and the hearing loss can have a the negative impact on the psychology and cognitive of the elderly in the community.
