Study on the Relationship Between HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Service Recognition and Behavior
Objective To understand the acceptance,awareness and recognition of AIDS prevention and control services among residents,and to explore the relationship between them and prevention and control behavior.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 936 residents in Chengdu by convenient sampling method.Results The proportion of the respondents who had only received one kind of AIDS prevention and control service or not was 78.85%.The content of health education has the highest satisfaction in prevention and control services.The respondents'awareness of AIDS knowledge was high,but their acceptance of AIDS and its patients was low.Logistic regression analysis showed that age,education background,satisfaction with prevention and control services,awareness of AIDS knowledge,and acceptance of AIDS and patients were the influencing factors of AIDS prevention and control behavior.Conclusion AIDS prevention and control behavior is closely related to the attitude and awareness of AIDS prevention.The coverage and content of AIDS prevention and control services should been strengthened,to further increase the allocation of professional AIDS prevention personnel and special funds,guide the public to eliminate discrimination against AIDS and choose the right prevention and control behavior,and promote the formation of a good AIDS prevention atmosphere.
