Evaluation of the Therapeutic Effect of Smoking Cessation Intervention in Patients with Moderate to Severe Nicotine Dependence
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)tea drinking combined with smoking cessation intervention in patients with moderate to severe nicotine dependence and analyze the related influencing factors.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 112 patients with moderate to severe nicotine dependence,and the smoking cessation status and adverse reactions of different groups of patients(control group:conventional intervention;intervention group:TCM tea combined intervention)were comparied.Results In terms of abstinence rate at the 7-day point,there was no significant difference between the two groups of patients at the 1st,3rd,and 6th months after treatment(P>0.05);in terms of continuous abstinence rate,the intervention group were higher than the control group at 3 and 6 months after treatment(P>0.05).In addition,the incidence of smoking cessation related adverse reactions in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion For moderate to severe nicotine dependence,the combination of TCM tea and smoking cessation intervention can improve the continuous abstinence rate and significantly reduce the adverse reactions related to smoking cessation.
