Epidemiological Analysis of Injuries Among Primary and Secondary School Students in a Town of Xuhui District in Shanghai from 2015 to 2023
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of injuries among primary and middle school students in a Town in Xuhui District in Shanghai,and to provide the evidence for the prevention and control of injuries among students.Methods The injury reports of primary and secondary school students in the town from 2015 to 2023 were collected,and the epidemiological characteristics of injuries were analyzed.Results A total of 742 cases of student injuries were reported in the Town from 2015 to 2023,with the ratio of male to female being 3.70:1.The injuries occurred mainly in May and October,and the daily peak hours were at 10:00 and 15:00.The injury occurred mainly in junior high school(63.07%),and the primary cause of student injury was falling/falling(59.30%).The injury occurred mainly in schools(79.92%),of which the school sports venues were the most(51.48%),and the students were mainly engaged in sports activities(54.58%)when the injury occurred.The main physical injuries of students are fractures(52.43%),and wrist and hand injuries(32.88%).Conclusion The prevention and control of injuries among students in a town should focus on boys and junior high school students,and should focus on the school injury intervention during May and December,which will help to reduce the occurrence of injuries among primary and secondary school students.
