Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of health education in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods From March 2021 to March 2024,110 COPD patients with concomitant pulmonary infections were selected in a certain hospital. The patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 55 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with ambroxol hydrochloride, while the control group received routine care, and the observation group received health education intervention on the basis of the control group. The treatment outcomes of two groups of patients were compared. Results The observation group showed significant improvements in symptom relief time, lung function indicators, inflammatory factor levels, health knowledge scores, and incidence of adverse reactions(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing health education during the treatment of COPD patients with concomitant pulmonary infections using ambroxol hydrochloride can improve treatment efficacy and reduce the risk of adverse reactions.
