Analysis on Status of Wearing Masks and Its Influencing Factors in Public Places in Wuhan
Objective To understand the behavior of wearing masks in public places in Wuhan and analyze the influencing factors,so as to provide the scientific basis for further formulating health protection strategies for residents.Methods From December 2022 to September 2023,eight types of public places were selected in 15 districts of Wuhan by convenient sampling method,and the situation of wearing masks was observed and recorded.Results The average correct wearing rate of masks in Wuhan was 43.77%in the whole year,and the correct wearing rate of masks in the central city was higher than that in the suburbs,with statistical significance(P<0.001).The rate of wearing masks correctly in hospitals throughout the year was the highest(57.03%).Seasons,districts and types of public places were the influencing factors for wearing masks correctly(P<0.05).Conclusion The proportion of correct wearing in public places in Wuhan is declining,and the suburbs are weak areas.It is suggested that targeted popular science propaganda should be carried out for different seasons and people.
