Correlation Analysis Between Health Literacy and Smoking Behavior of Residents in Songjiang District of Shanghai
Objective To understand the status of residents'health literacy and smoking behavior in Songjiang District,Shanghai,and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide the reference for formulating intervention measures for tobacco control.Methods By the multi-stage stratified random sampling method the permanent residents aged 15-69 in Songjiang District,Shanghai were conducted a survey by questionnaire in 2022.Results The overall level of health literacy was 41.02%,and the smoking rate was 19.91%.The smoking rates of the respondents in different gender,age,marital status,education level,occupation,annual family income and whether they suffer from chronic diseases were statistically significant(P<0.05).The current smoking rate of those who had overall health literacy,three aspects and six types of problems(except infectious disease prevention literacy and safety and first aid literacy)was lower than that of those who do not(P<0.05).Age,sex,occupation,health concept,basic knowledge accomplishment and chronic diseases were the influencing factors of smoking behavior(P<0.05).Conclusion At present,smoking behavior is related to residents'health literacy level,so it is necessary to carry out in-depth health education on smoking hazards,improve residents'health literacy level and reduce the smoking rate of the population.
