Intervention Research on the Point List Health Education to Improve the Health Literacy of Rural Residents
Objective To understand the effect of point list health education in the intervention of health literacy of rural residents,and to explore a new working mode of health education and health promotion.Methods C town in Jinshan District of Shanghai was selected as the intervention group,and L town which was basically the same in area,population,street town size,economic status and other aspects was selected as the control group.The intervention group was given point list health education intervention,while the control group was not given special intervention.The intervention time was 5 years.The health literacy level of residents in the two towns before and after the intervention was compared.Results After 5 years of intervention,the health literacy rate of the intervention group increased from 12.73%to 40.61%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01);the three dimensions of health literacy in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the literacy rates of six types of health problems in the intervention group and the control group were improved,but the literacy rates of scientific health concept,infectious disease prevention and control,safety and first aid were not significantly improved.Conclusion The point list health education intervention measures have a significant effect on improving the overall health literacy and some dimensions of health literacy of rural residents,which has a certain promotion value.
