Investigation on the Effect of New Media in the Improvement of Health Literacy of Occupational Population
Objective To understand the application effect of new media communication in improving the health literacy level of occupational population.Methods Medical staff,teachers,government officials,social workers and enterprise clerks were taken as the intervention objects,and the WeChat official account of the community health care center was used as the media to create the WeChat APP of"health cloud steward",and build a new media communication platform for health communication for one year.Using the 2021 version of the national residents'health literacy monitoring questionnaire,the changes of the health literacy levels before and after the new media health communication were compared.Results After the intervention,the overall health literacy rate of the subjects increased from 44.1%to 77.3%.In the three dimensions,the rate of basic knowledge and ideas,healthy lifestyle and behavior,and health skills increased by 31.5%,35.2%,and 38.5%,respectively.In terms of six types of health problems,the scientific concept of health has increased by 12.1%;the prevention and control of infectious diseases had increased by 37.7%;the prevention and control of chronic diseases had increased by 33.6%;the safety and first aid has increased by 18.8%;the basic medical care has increased by 33.6%;the health information has increased by 18.8%.Conclusion New media health communication plays a positive role in improving the health literacy of occupational population.
